Welcome to Caversham Heights Methodist ChurchCaversham Heights Methodist Church (CHMC) is a strong church community, with particular strengths in its inclusive sense of belonging, through a wide variety of social activities through which friendships are built. The arrangements for pastoral care are excellent.We also take great care to provide for young people. Our worship is mostly traditional-nonconformist with a clear emphasis on preaching, but there is great variety in style. Young people are always included in the morning service. The music is led by a group of able organists.We are an eco-congregation; click on the logo (left above) to find out more.In 2009 we celebrated our centenary.In early 2011 a project is at an advanced stage, to re-order and re-furnish our worship area. Look at the collection of photo galleries to see what we’ve been doing. We hope the project will be completed soon, and look forward to using our worship area in new and inspiring ways.CHMC has its eyes on the wider horizon, too, with a link (going back over twelve years) to a church and a school in northern Zambia. In this we are partners with one of our local schools, and with a church in Canada.
